Migrated yesterday from 11.04 (which worked perfecly !) to this rather crappy and unstable 11.10 (there are really plenty of bugs in this release, including this severe one). I was considering booting 11.4 and scrapping 11.10 altogether, but I don't know what files have changed since I last backed up.
