Sometimes Gspot cannot identify a codec - this does not necessarily indicate anything.

One problem however, is that if you output to DVD, WMV, MPEG, or almost any other delivery format, you will recompress and loose even more quality. You need to buy the MPEG2 codec for Quicktime, and it shouldn't break the bank.Dave LaRonde Sr. Are these limitation with G-Spot or should I suspect the codecs involved? from what i had to work with, my first assumption was that there was a problem with one of my codecs, and the error logs seemed to point at my avi

Pretty sure that would work, but what a mess! weblink I suppose such third-party MPEG conversion tools also exist in Windows-land, but sadly, I don't know a thing about them.Dave LaRonde Sr. Good luck, Hunt Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 23. We've tried MPEG Stream Clip on Mac and PC, no luck.

VLC plays it, but WiMP and QT will not, and I can't see anything of it in any NLE or compositing program I drop it into. Once Audacity processes them there is no problem.

Only thing we haven't done yet is play the file with VLC, and record the output to tape, and reingest. This error means "No combination of filters could be found to render the stream". As to my initial problems, the error on exit remains on my desktop but not on my laptop with the same video project. Any errors mentioned?

This error is "Attempted to read buffered device data from a device that is not buffered. & There is no common media type between these pins". Since they are divx, I reinstalled divx package just in case but that did not help. then the file name I can't even play avi's on the VLC Player which I had been told would pretty much play anything. Believe it was the Parastroika package?

There, you should be able to view the file in G-Spot. At least DVR will tell you what is wrong with the AVI, even if it cannot repair the file. With the wav, G-Spot noted codec not installed, and with the two avi's G-Spot indicated the codec were installed but returned a "failed to connect to output pin" when pressing the Same for the Audio, but with only two numbers.
