why don't you install that too, if only for the xp setup? 256 is pretty skimpy. All you should leave plugged into the computer is the power cord, mouse, keyboard, and monitor. I've disabled most everything in BIOS, pulled out most of my hardware at some time or another, and, yet, the same problem will occur every time. only problem is that the install then hung again at 2 minutes. Change back all of your clock speeds in your BIOS to the defaults, and try again. specs: p4 1.6ghz OC'd to 2.45ghz, 1gig pc2700 ram, gf4-4200, WD 80 gig + WD 120 gig, Lite-on 40x CDR/W. I read in one post that the setupapi.log would help advanced users determine what the cause of the problem is.
